Biography:
My name is Gregory Ellis (a.k.a Nico) and I was born in Woodbridge VA, only born there, and was moved from along the east coast till I was about 20. Such places included; Brooklyn NY, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia. I then enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany for about 7 years. Traveled abroad for a bit and traveled to various parts around the globe. Honorably Discharged from the military and came out to the states about a year ago due to the pandemic. (I was locked down in the Philippines for 2 months till I was able to get a flight home). Worked a couple of jobs and decided to start doing music and felt a surefire passion in what I was making. Released a single and music video for "Pls Ex Me", available on all platforms, in Feb 2021. Decided to continue and drop an EP, Vibe w/LoFi, in Aug 2021. I now live in Florida with my cousin, Kadeem, who is also an artist aspiring to own his own label in the future, Family 1st.

No form of musical education. Everything was self-taught
Musical Instruments | Studio Equipment:
My home studio consist of a laptop, mic, receiver and speakers that we use to create a layout catalog. It's used as an reference for when we create the final project in the studio. I really can't live without a way to consistently create wherever I am.
Influences | Sounds Like:
Not to sound egotistical, but I feel like my music resonates with artist such as, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Dom Kennedy and Wiz Khalifa. They are artist whom I grab inspiration from and I feel like I portray that in my style. I also respect artist such as 6lack, and Chance the rapper/ Childish Gambino, for giving me a more melodic feature in the process.
