Biography:
GOG is an experimental improvising trio founded in the summer of 2015. Stav is a full time session drummer that has played with many of the most prominent artists of the israeli Rock, Pop and Jazz Scenes. Amit Biton is a Feldenkrais practitioner and jazz pianist and composer. Tom Klein has won recognition as a cellist and composer on the music scene in Israel, colaborating in recent years with Tamar Borer, one of Israel's prominent dancers and choreographers. Our debut Vinyl and digital album, recorded over the course of one 36-hours improvised session, was released on the summer of 2019.
Career Goals | Objectives:
To get more fans, book more gigs, to perform and reach people outside of Israel, to colaborate with more musicians and other artists we love and appreciate.
Music Education | Training | Qualifications:
Amit Biton (Piano/Synthsizer) has a Bachelor degree in Multidisciplinary Composition from the Jerusalem Academy of Music. Tom Klein (Cello) is now completing his Masters degree in Classical Composition from the Jerusalem Academy of Music. Stav Lipitz (Drum & Percussion) has graduated from the Distinguished Jazz Performers Program of the Israeli Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv
Influences | Sounds Like:
We draw inspiration from many and different artists and musical worlds such as - Flying Lotus (especially Cosmogramma), Sonic Youth, Vijay Iyer, Tom Waits, Stefan Prins, Milford Graves, and many more.
Live Performance History | Residencies | Touring Experience:
We have been performing live since 2016 (over 15 concerts). in the last 12 months we have done 3 shows (an album launch mini-tour) and a few festival shows that have been cancelled due to coronavirus.
