Biography:
Born in Toledo, Ohio Shawn Lee Howze Sr. also known as Mr. Lee Howze. He's an American singer, rapper, dancer and recording artist. He's always been an active member of the underground music world. As a young boy growing up on the south side of Toledo Shawn enjoyed singing at his church Shiloh Baptist on the east side. When Shawn would get in trouble as a kid and sent to his bedroom for punishment he would pass the time by by putting the radio speakers in the open window and would sing and dance for his friends out on the block. As he got older Shawn and some of his friends Fredrick shores, Terry Green and his cousin Timothy julious formed a dancing group. They would perform at backyard gathering's, party's and wedding receptions. As time went by and Shawn got a little bit older he started focusing on his singing more. After graduating from Jesup W. Scott high school in 1986, He was singing in a group called Solution. Solution was made up with his close friends Bruce bills, Keith Jenkins and Channing Williams. Solution was together for a few years but ended up breaking up in the early 90's. After the break up Shawn changed his stage name to Mr. Lee Howze and became a solo artist. He soon after moved to Manhattan New York/ New Jersey. He spent years there singing in karaoke's and open mic bars and clubs. Mr. Lee Howze currently resides in his home town working on his music career. He has his own personal recording studio where he records himself and other local artists. Right now he's in the process of promoting his new Album (Patience) and his new Ep (Keep grooving). When not touring, recording, or shooting video's you can find him performing and promoting his music at local venues, open mics, shows and karaoke. Mr. Lee has opened up shows for nationally known artist as Lil Wyte, Young Dro, Little Scrappy, Mc Breed, Zapp and Rogers, Kurtis Blow and others as well.
