Biography:
Thelxie has a certified state of Washington State Teacher's license with highly qualified endorsements in choral and general music education. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut and a Masters in Teaching from Heritage University. Thelxie studied music privately for 14 years with Phyllis Dimpsey and for 6 years with world renowned band leader and trumpeter Fred Radke at North Seattle College. She has received the North Star Award, the Spiker-Deuker Award, and the Avery Point Award. She has been teaching music in the Seattle area for 20 years. In addition to teaching, Thelxie is a popular professional musician in the Pacific Northwest.
