Biography:

My name is Gorika Velasco Gomez , a Mexican/American who was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area . I grew up listening to reggaeton as a child . Artist like Daddy Yankee , Don Omar,Wisin y Yandel, Nicky Jam, and Ivy Queen. I have always felt the strong connection within the urban music , mainly reggaeton. Music has helped me endure through the most difficult parts of life. I was formerly incarcerated for about 7 years within the California state prison system . During my incarceration, I was dealing with my cardiovascular issues . My health had deteriorated while I was incarcerated. I’ve went through 26 surgeries within those 7 years . I remember being in the ICU battling for my life , but with my faith strongly in God , I had got through deaths grip . I started writing music as a child but never took it seriously . As I was reflecting back on my life , I started writing my life through lyrics . Every song that I’ve written to date is a reflection of my life . I was intubated for 4 months and was on a ventilator so I couldn’t speak . I had asked God to help me get through this pain. He blessed me by saving my life once again and gave me the capacity to write music . I remember being shackled to the bed and writing songs while I was recovering . And here I am finally sharing my music with the world . I’ve written over 2 0 0 songs to date , but, haven’t found the instrumentals for each one yet. I have more music on the way so stay tuned .i strongly feel that with the right music producer , I can take my music to the next level ! I’ve been blessed with the art of composing music and I want to share it with the world . I was formerly incarcerated and have been liberated for 6 months now . I work 7 days a week , go to school to finish my associates degree and have a daughter to provide for . Music is my passion but I haven’t been able to make much time for it . I have the basic set up at home for recording and send my songs to get mixed and mastered online . Thanks for viewing my music .
