Biography:
I'm a 27-year-old Guitarist and Producer from Sydney . The first time I really took notice of music was age 15 hearing Jimi Hendrix records. I obsessed over guitar solos like Little Wing, Hey Joe and Bold as Love. So this got me to start playing the guitar at around 15 years old. I started to follow that thread and learnt music by John Frusciante, John Mayer and other guitar players that I looked up to.I graduated from university with a degree in mechanical engineering, and once I entered the corporate workforce as an engineer It felt so empty to me. Everyone seemed to be working for the sake of money. My biggest fear was retiring and having plenty of money, but no more time to do anything I wanted.I went on a holiday to Thailand and saw a band play live at a club. They were playing music like Nirvana and Linkin Park. It felt so good just being there in that atmosphere, and that stuck with me. So that was when I decided the thing that would give my life the most meaning is to spend all my time making music. 2 years ago I quit my job and spent all my time playing and writing music. Learning from the internet how to use recording equipment and DAW's to mix music. I'm just scratching the surface on all the things there are to learn.After spending 9 months submersed in music, I released my first album called Megalomaniac, which was self produced and recorded in my studio apartment. It is a synthesis of the rock music that inspired me to pick up the guitar, and experimentation with modern music production and drum sampling. Each song offers a different perspective on life, but the underlying philosophy behind it is that people should do what they want with their life, because they will be dead soon.In terms of music I like, it started with complicated guitar solos, but these days I like anything with sincerity in the playing, and when the artist isn't afraid to experiment. It's pretty obvious to me when an artist is just making music for the sake of selling it, rather than doing it from the heart, and that's the music that I don't like.Other hobbies include watching porn and masturbating.
