Biography:
Music is my life. I produce new songs for myself (and for others) everyday. One compliment I get from many people is how many different styles I produce in, which is because I love and listen to all genres of music. I've released for myself and co-written/produced songs in these styles: Electronic, EDM, House, Folk, Country, Classical, R&B, Hip Hop, Bluegrass and the all-encompassing Pop genre. I look forward to co-writing/producing with other inspired writers/producers with the same passion for music as mine. My career goal is to write and produce for other artists, but that starts with me getting my music heard by A&R and publishing agencies who can help me find opportunities to showcase my music to other labels and artists. I am an ASCAP member and I have independently sold over 100 songs in the past 3 years. I also write and produce music under the band name: Sophic Bloom (indie-grunge style). In Sophic Bloom I write and perform close to 100% of the music myself.
Career Goals | Objectives:
My main goal is to write songs (or collaborate writing songs on a team) to pitch to other artists for them to record. I am seeking publishing deals and/or an agent who can help me achieve this goal.
Music Education | Training | Qualifications:
I began studying music very early in life. I started with Percussion/Drums when I was 6 years old eventually switching to focus on guitar when I was 14 1/2 years old. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in jazz guitar and music education and I also studied jazz drumming privately for a few years. In 2014 I started learning the art of turntablism from schoolofscratch.com and that led me to learning how to produce music.
Musical Instruments | Studio Equipment:
I have so much gear. I guess the most important gear to me is my guitar arsenal (too many to list) and my 1960's Ludwig drum kit. I could also not live without my iMac/AbletonLive/Universal Audio Apollo.
Influences | Sounds Like:
I can't claim to say this myself, because I think I sound like me (a melding of all my influences). But, between both of the artist names I produce under (Zerp & Sophic Bloom) I have been told that I sound like: Beck, Jack Antinoff, Bleachers, Arctic Monkeys, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters to name a few.

Very rarely. I spend most of my creative time in the studio writing and producing new songs to hopefully inspire others.
