Biography:
Born Maurice McLellan July 27, 1987, stage name “ReUp843” has arrived. ReUp843 stems from being in the military. It’s a sense of being military minded with plans to never be relaxed or get complacent in the things he continuously pursue. Born in Marion, SC but raised in Dillon, SC Reup843 began writing and rapping music when he was 13 years old. It wasn’t till age 17; ReUp843 began taking the craft seriously. He love music no matter the genre and solely believe in bringing hip hop back to the way it was back in the day but put a little twist of now of day generation to it will help create the best music our time has ever seen. ReUp843 has been working harder then any artist this year by already being featured in the hit TV show Hawaii 50, starring in 5 episodes this year ( episode 813, 814, 817, 824 & 825). Currently an Active Duty Soldier of almost 11 years in the Army living in Hawaii, ReUp843 constantly shows Hip Hop has always his passion. ReUp843 is here to show the world that he will turn his dream to a reality.
MUSICAL INFLUENCES
• My musical idols are: Jay-Z, Biggie, 2Pac, Nas, Lil Wayne, J Cole, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Jadakiss. The list goes on due to the fact I like so many artist and their versatility they bring to the table.
• In the music industry I look up to 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, P. Diddy, and Russell Simmons because of the business insight they provide.
• My musical influences are Jay-Z, Drake, J. Cole, Wale, Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, and Kendrick Lamar.
