Biography:
My name is Doug Rice and I grew up in Calgary and was surrounded by musicians at an early age. I have deep roots in country music, the mountains and fell in love with the keyboard at an early age. After spending a career in the big city I moved out of Calgary and have returned to connect back with the music scene and the industry and am dedicating my time to my passion which is music. Being exposed to musicians at an early age meant performing since I was young and going through the different phases of the music industry: promoting, artist management and writing meant I had little time for what I loved doing which was playing and recording myself. Through my nearly 36 years of exposure to the industry I've learned the deep connection music has to peoples souls including my own. I've had the good fortune to play with some wonderful people in my career and journey through music and they are influences I wouldn't be without. After releasing (2) instrumental C.D's "Christmas in our House" and "Reflections" both on Amazon Prime it was time for some vocal work. My first release "Hot Rod Lincoln unplugged" is a song done in a small studio with many more to come and some great music from the past.
