Biography:
Darel “J0DY” McDonald II (born October 10, 1995 in Corpus Christi, Texas) is a American producer, rapper and singer that founded LAST LAUGH RECORDS. In an age of spin with young artists all chasing clout, he is working rigorously on the beginning stages of recording his label debut, tentatively titled S.O.S.(Search Of Significance). It is projected to be released late 2019. In his words: “I didn’t choose to make this album to be loved, or for listeners to tell me what I need to improve about my image for the next album. I honestly made it because of what I've experienced and what I've seen in the world. All the songs on here were made on various days when the memories of events in my life flowed back to me and nothing was rushed. I’m telling you from the jump who I am. The person I used to be worried about people pleasing but I was never happy living my life that way.Even though I was genuinely caring for them and their problems, I hardly ever shared my own. It was like I was trying to tell someone to trust me while I was still wearing a mask. I learned the hard way you have to give trust, to receive it.” Taking from his favorite artists a love for immeasurable storytelling with a fierce inner-strength, J0DY advanced to writing his own lyrics at 20, soon filling journals with rhymes, video ideas, and observations. Without a proper DJ or producer to provide a beat, he started creating his own using a laptop. From then on J0DY was constantly creating new music and lyrics leading to his current flow and style.
