Biography:
Evan Cristo is world renown for his effortless ability to bridge musical genres. His latest single “Brand New Things” is a lament to shopaholism. He admits to needing “Brand new things for temporary pleasure” but also acknowledges “… I don’t feel better after”.
From his mother's womb, rhythm took charge as Evan Cristo's first form of expression. He began learning drums soon after he began learning to speak. This percussive comfort seamlessly shines in music along with his dynamic melodic palette.
Growing up in Willowbrook California, a neighborhood in between Watts and Compton, music and his Buddhist upbringing provided a unique perspective in an area where he witnessed gang violence and drug abuse but also hard-working families and community.
This perspective is a trademark in Evan’s songwriting style where he submerges into the depths of life and questions the things that we typically take at face value.
