Biography:
Nessa May, originally from Equatorial Guinea, spent over two decades in Spain before settling in Manchester, where she brings a rich and diverse cultural background to her music. Her artistic journey began with her debut single, "Ahora Que Te Tengo," which won the Neox competition and aired on a prominent Spanish TV channel, marking a pivotal moment in her career. In 2021, Nessa was honored with a grant from SGAE, Spain's leading copyright association, in recognition of her contributions to pop ular music. This accolade further fueled her passion and commitment to her craft. Nessa later completed a music course with Reform Radio in Manchester, where she honed her production skills and vocal techniques, enabling her to independently produce her music. Her sound is a unique blend of Afrobeat, pop, and rap, infused with Spanish and English lyrics, creating an engaging experience for listeners. Nessa's performances are known for their high energy, enhanced by her background as a professional dancer, which adds an extra layer of dynamism to her shows. Nessa is currently working with SAFO Music Group in London, where she is artistically developing her next project—she worked already with them for her first EP released in April 2025.
