Above is what I consider the "official" biography.
Below is some fun facts just for you!

The music obsession started in 2017 as I travelled the world with work.
I always had a bad habit of being distracted in the office and writing lyrics on paper, but around this time I started finding beats online to write too.
And although I had never even recorded a song or performed on stage, I started purchasing exclusive rights to beats with faith in my ability to succeed!

Over the next 1 to 2 years I would accumulate the exclusive rights to 12 instrumentals and write a song for all beats I own.
I dabbled with the idea of recording at home, nervous about how family or friends would perceive my music.
I ordered recording equipment but only pushed hard to record the songs once Covid-19 had us in lockdown.
I was new to music with no previous experience other than remixing dance tracks with acapellas, so it was a long process to learn to record, mix and master.

To improve the sound, I started passing some songs to other audio engineers I met on social media.
Early 2022 I released my first 12-track album (following some singles) through Tunecore UK. However, at this time I still believed I could "go viral" before my friends and family found out about my secret music career.

Mid-2022 I joined a hip-hop song writing course to see what I could learn and improve my skillset.
To my surprise, I was informed I was rapping in a slight American accent.
Although quite common in Scotland due to mainstream rap being mostly from America, I was embarrassed and encouraged to rap in my Scottish accent to be authentic. This was a direction I agreed with and I learned how to deliver raps authentically over the next 6 weeks as I passed the course.

Still embarrassed, I removed all my music from stores to start over.
This came at an expense of course, but also allowed me to apply song writing techniques I learned and improve the released tracks.
I was determined to get this rebrand correct, and found an audio engineer with a studio in Glasgow, Scotland.
This would have one person mixing and mastering all songs, giving me a consistent sound for the reworked album.

Fast forward to September 2022, I released what would be known as my "first single", with family, friends and locals all aware of my music ambitions.
By April 2023, I released 3 singles and then a 10-track album.
The cover song got selected for airplay on BBC Radio Scotland for Mental Health Awareness week.

Throughout this time, artist's were inviting me to perform at their shows.
I admit this helped me develop my sound further, bringing more emotion and aggression to my released tracks.

Determined for more success, I teamed up with my audio engineer to create a further 12 tracks.
My love for creating meant I had already been purchasing further exclusive rights instrumentals as I travelled with work.
I also teamed up with LMSUK for social media management in September 2023, to help improve my social media music clips and help achieve my goals.

I had dreams on steamrolling out another 3 singles and an album, and perhaps continuing to do so.
Sadly, after 3 further singles I came across spotify issues, where I was accused of artificial streaming.
This came as a huge surprise to me of course, but opened my eyes to how some of this music industry worked.
Tunecore UK did not support me in anyway against the streaming fraud claims, ignoring all requests for further information.

I left Tunecore UK for Music Gateway in March 2024, who unfortunately could not reinstate all my music simply because they did not know how to.
I wasted 4 months with this Distributor who could only get the 6 singles to stores.
This was extremely frustrating and massively delayed any album plans I had for early 2024.

I am pleased to say I am now with WeAreRGM. Ryan has lots of experience in the music industry, but most importantly he has a close working relationship with his clients which is crucial as I cannot go through the Spotify experience ever again. Most interesting is the amount I learned from Ryan on joining WeAreRGM. I now know to review my SpotifyForArtists regularly and look for huge spikes in plays that should be reported with unknown playlist s. Before Ryan, I didn't realise I had any responsibility other than not to pay for a specific number of streams online (and believe me, I have had to report a couple playlists in the last 6 months already!)

Through all the pain and misery was a nice highlight though.
My track 'Let's Go' was credited on Netflix Original Series 'Sprint'.
There was no upfront fee due to a royalty free string being included in the song, but I got credited nonetheless, which did me a nice turn on the streaming platforms.

Things were looking good again and I released my second album in October 2024.

I currently sit on 3 unreleased tracks and 18 exclusive rights instrumentals that have not yet been used.
This is probably a strange situation for music companies to find artists in, given the expense to own exclusive rights.
But I always believe if you are going to do something, do it right!

As I sit here at the end of 2024 reflecting on a strange year, I believe it to be my most important year to date!
Not because of the success through radio and television, but by finally realising how much work is required to be successful.
My social media game has levelled up since September 2024, with all my songs getting video clips recorded or music videos edited for social media. Different platforms get different versions of videos as advised by my management.
Creating and editing the videos is all on me in my own time, affectively running 2 jobs to achieve my dreams....

Above all this, I need to monitor the streaming platforms and report potential issues as not to allow my career to crumble on me once again.

And perhaps most importantly, I have grown to love the video camera.
We all love making the music, but in modern times it's the person who wins over the people who go and listen to the music.
Without a face, or a personality, the music goes nowhere.

So I have learned a lot on this journey.
I have huge plans for 2025 on the social media front, as I aim to grow my fanbase exponentially through consistency and self-paid promotion.
But ultimately, I would love to perform more frequently in front of huge crowds!
