Biography:

I am the artist known as JF . I am from Raleigh, North Carolina and been doing music for about 10 years off and on. I started with some friends of mine from Fayetteville where I learned how to rap, construct a verse, and make songs. We worked on industry beats from some of our favorite artists and songs and tried to always have the best verse. We were very competitive and it helped me become a better artist. I released my first mixtape on my birthday in 2015 on Soundcloud and Datpiff when they were popular and released more songs the next year on a EP named "Exiled". I did some shows in these two years with minimal response and this was around the time hearing lyricism in rap was overlooked for the "Soundcloud" era where mumble rap and other lesser forms started to become the popular style. I still kept working and for a year and a half worked on a album that I would put on all streaming platforms named "XXV II Life". It was a honor to make this available for sale and streaming and was a project I put my entire life into from the highs to the lows. Due to financial instability and again minimal exposure the album was removed off platforms and I decided to retire from music for awhile. Constantly putting money, time, and creative effort with no movement or motion as the kids say made me lack motivation and focus on other things. I am a basketball player and focused more on that in the meanwhile and with that I regained my love for music and wanting to create simply because of all the lessons I learned through the game I love. It takes dedication, perseverance, sacrifice and commitment to become a great basketball player and I used these same traits for my music. After 5 years I released a new project called "Preszn" in 2022 which is my most successful project yet and I feel now I have my lane in hip hop . As of now I re-released a lot of my mixtape songs and some in the vault last month named "Chronicles" to give a second chance for people who had never heard it. In a few days I am rereleasing XXV II Life to ensure it stays on all platforms. This year I plan on releasing a project every month God willing to make sure I keep my pen sharp and to have a great discography when Im finished whether people listen or not.
