Biography:
From Lil Wayne, to Beyonce, to Ice Cube, heavy hitters in the music industry all know that Chilla can do the damn thing. This Chicago native has been putting it down on a major level since the 1996. Chilla, The Chief Snypa, was the front runner for the Virgin Records/Rap-A-Lot group, The Snypaz, and was the founder of the Chicago sound that became mainstream during the 90's, and into the 2000's. This man is highly respected by his peers, fans, and other rappers in the midwest and all around the United States. People are seriously waiting on this man to drop his first solo album.
Chilla just has that "it" factor, be it on stage or in the studio. Every song he gets on, he makes it better. Every show that he does, Chilla is the stand out. He has performed for major crowds within the thousands, and of coarse at the neighbor hood corner bar. The Snypaz headlined their own tours before, so the stage is second nature to him. Chilla's stage presence is what fans have said they love the best.
The swagger that the Chief Snypa displays on his songs has gotten him acclaim by other rappers and industry executives. J Prince has been known to sit in his office, with the lights out, and listen to Chilla's solo music. He has recorded songs with major artists such as Scarface, The Outlaws, Devin The Dude, Do Or Die, Yukmouth, Bun B, and so many more.
Chilla is not a stranger to the industry and far from a has been. The Snypaz had 2 major releases and one video, which was all over BET and MTV. Chilla is now doing his own thing and his music has never been better. He has upgraded his sound from grimy gangsta, to music that can sell a Diet Pepsi commercial. The solo CD's target audience starts from the hustler man on the block, and ends up with middle aged white people in sports bars.
Rappers in the industry will tell you that Chilla is that dude and there is something special about him.
