Biography:
I was born and raised in the warm state of São Paulo, Brazil, under the name of Eliel Rodrigues.
My first formal introduction to music came from my grandmother, who was also a pastor, and introduced me to gospel music. Similarly, my dad would play the drums and sing for the church.
When I was 6 years old, I moved to the big city. I started singing in local churchs, and soon gained attention. I was offered a scholarship to start studying pop ular Brazilian music at the age of 6. I went on to perform on major stages in the city, and to win 7 singing competitions in the first place.
In 2011, while in High School, I participated of the TV show Brazilian Idol, which gave me national notoriety. I was offered a band, which travelled with me for a tour in the southern region of Brazil.
In 2012, I won a scholarship to study Music Education and Bossa Nova at the University Sagrado Coração, in Bauru, São Paulo. During my studies, I won another singing competition, which gave me the prize of moving to the United States to study music for a semester.
In 2014, I moved to Atlanta, GA, where I learned English and deepened my music education knowledge. At the end of that semester, Georgia State University offered me a full-time scholarship to finish my studies in the United States.
In 2016, I won third place on NATS, a state-wide singing competition, which opened the door for new opportunities.
In 2017 I went on tour singing choir for Andrea Boccelli, performing for thousands of people around the South of the US. That opportunity allowed me to also go on tour with grammy nominee Sarah Brightman. At the end of 2018, I was invited to perform in a midnight mass choir in Salzburg, Austria, representing Atlanta. That event was in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Silent Night.
From 2018 to 2022 I focused on teaching music, while consistently producing my material. During that time, I was a guest speaker at the State Conference for Music Educators, as well as for the National Conference for Music Educators, which gave me an incredible opportunity to change jobs.
Career Goals | Objectives:
My main goal is to find collaborations to produce more music. I want to extend my catalog, and I have 27 songs to work on. Because of financial limitations, however, I’m releasing songs very slowly. I believe that if connected to the right person, I will be able to produce all the music that I have worked so hard on. Because I have administered my entire music career, it gets in the way of my music making and live performing. As such, I am also looking to find a manager.

Yes, I have an undergrad degree in Music Education in Brazil, and in the United States. I am a music educator, in addition of singer-songwriter.

Influences | Sounds Like:
Amy Winehouse, and Sam Smith; while Jordan Rakei's songwriting style directly influences mine. I have formal training in Bossa Nova, as well as Classical singing, which also influences the sound I produce. You will find Brazilian influence in my music.
