Biography:
My name is Oana Moczulski and I am a Musician and a Choreographer, located in Cologne Germany. This Website is dedicated to all of you who want to find out more about my musical project "Oana". I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions our thoughts that you want to share.
Oana started writing Songs and Ideas when she came to Cologne, more like a self therapy for all the injustice that she had to put up with, as a young female singer in the music business. In 2016 she recorded and released her first EP „Hide and Seek“. It contains 4 rock songs with personal themes about being mistreated, misunderstood, manipulated, underrated and suppressed.
After a couple of concerts, the songs were so hard to digest and emotionally so painful to sing, that she had to bring some freshness into her performance.
She asked Jacek Moczulski, the bass player of the band, to help her with the composition by bringing in new ideas. Because he had studied in L.A. and had had so much experience in playing many different styles of music, he was the perfect person to ask. They immediately realised that they compliment each other and started working on new compositions. As they gathered about 30 songs and played some concerts, they decided to record an album.
They didn’t really know what style defines their Music, because of its many influences from Jazz, Pop, Rock, Progressive-rock, Classical Music, Funk, Soul, Blues and its social, cultural themes. So after a long research, they set for Postmodern Music.
For the album they asked Jonas Windscheid on guitar and Marcel Kolvenbach on drums to join them. They love playing concerts together, most of all because of the positive message that the songs radiate and because of the audience's reaction to the songs.
They are planning on releasing the album in the spring of 2022.
