Biography:
’m an artist, producer and engineer from the DMV area. I’ve only ever had two passions in life, the first was basketball and I was blessed to have enough talent to make it to the collegiate level as an athlete. With that being said being a student didn’t work out for me. I failed every class I enrolled in, but meanwhile I was writing poetry and freestyling in my spare time. I dropped out of school, started working a 9-5 and smoking a lot of weed. A few of my friends from high school came to me one day and convinced me to start taking my music serious. So once I came to acceptance with the fact that basketball wasn’t going to be my career I put my all into my music. I literally fell in love with music in 2 0 13 when I started to realize that not only could I write poems and freestyle some dope stuff, but I could also turn that into a beautiful record as well. At that point I set a goal to write a verse or a song everyday. I then did that for the next 3 years. As time went on I learned more about the business side of the music and what it would take for me to sell my music properly. I was slowly progressing as an artist but still nowhere where I wanted. One day someone asked me "What I would do in 5 years if I don't make it in music by then." At the time my response was that "I would probably getting to managing artist, maybe a group and try to build them up into something." Shortly after hearing that question I came in contact with a music school called SAE Institute in Nashville, TN, where I graduated from in 2018. My goal from the first day of classes was to really shape my sound as an engineer as well as a beat maker. I can say that after the time it tool me to earn that degree I walked away a much more knowledgable Stew-Art when it came to the music business as well as the work thats put into the creation and polishing. Even though I still had a lot of work to do before I would consider myself a good engineer and producer I managed to pick up on the skills very quickly. Since then I've released a few singles as well as a 7 song album. I been through some ups and downs, made some choices that many people question but at the end of the day I know I'm working on Devine timing and my time is coming very soon.
Music Education | Training | Qualifications:
Audio technology. I am a mixing and mastering engineer, producer as well as an artist.
Musical Instruments | Studio Equipment:
Pro Tools, and Logic. These are the key elements in my home studio as well as the studios I work at. I'm currently working with a Focusrite Interface although I plan to upgrade soon to the new UAD Volt. Also for my beat making I use an M-Audio Keyboard and a MPC 226. And of course I have to have my software. Waves plug-ins and Fab-Filter tend to be all I need to get the job done when it comes to mixing. And when it's time to create I use Output Arcade from time to time. As of late I've been really enjoying Octave Deluxe, Soundware Octane and Mini Grand by AIR Music Tech.
