Biography:

I’ve kind of always been a nomad since the day I was born. I moved around from place to place my whole life.. so I’m from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I went to 13 different schools growing up all around the country.

I think the reason why I started writing so much was because I moved around so often. I was an only child growing up so I was always alone. We would move at the beginning of the summer so I usually had the whole summer to waste time without friends. I wouldn’t start making friends until the school year started. Once the school year ended, it was time to move again. Spending a lot of time alone I was able to get really creative, and my parents always inspired me to have a journal and write in it everyday growing up. That’s why writing came to me so naturally as did singing. I would be that kid singing all the time everywhere I went. I had no filter with it. I’ve never been classically trained but I practiced all the time. I was a lonely girl with a lot of time on my hands to write and sing. That’s why it came so naturally to me.

I always knew in my heart that pursuing music felt like something I was meant to do. I’ve always been intrigued with the idea of being able to get a message out to listeners and I feel like I’ve been through so much that i turned to music for advice and to pick up my confidence and mood. I would love to be the artist that other people can listen and feel inspired by in the way that I did towards other artists.

I still continue to do music today because It is second nature to me. Making a new song, performing my music, gives me a feeling of a high I always chase. Growing up I never knew anyone who accomplished or even followed their dreams doing something like music. And everyone around me always told me it was impossible to achieve. I still wrote songs and performed on the side of college and high school. One night it hit me that it always felt like it was my purpose, and what’s the point of living your life if you’re not doing what you know you were meant to do. I really feel like I want to be heard and I have so much to say. I want to reach a wide audience and inspire people with my music. Whether it’s impossible to achieve or not I’m here for the ride. There’s nothing else I’d rather do, and that’s what’s so exciting about making the decision to follow your dreams. There’s no promised paycheck, not too much stability. But life isn’t supposed to be like that, at least for me it’s not. I’ve never felt more alive and happy in my life than I do right now because I am pursuing my music as a career. Nothing could make me regret that.

My genre of music ranges from Pop/ urban pop / some hip hop / some alternative / electro pop.

I hate picking genres. I really make most of my songs on my guitar and then I reach out to whatever producer is within my community or friend group to make music. I really do feel like what makes music exciting is the collaboration of many inspired people to create a piece. That’s why whenever I work with producers I usually always say “just make whatever you’re inspired to make. There’s no direction- do what you feel you want to” and I release my favorites. That’s probably why my music is all over the place, but I don’t care at this point. I’ve noticed that as the times are changing, genres are mixing and artists aren’t trapping themselves within one genre. Artists are artists. Take a look at Gwen stafani and Doja Cat. They could have a rap song on the same album as a rock song and who cares? The diversity keeps them from being boring and the ability to reinvent yourself is a very powerful attribute to have.

I’m encouraged to make music When I’m sad, when I’m angry, when I’m in love. It feels like I’m writing in my journal and playing guitar to it or creating a song around it.

I have so many musical influences but off the top of my head the artists I could name right now to the best of my memory are Lana del Rey , SZA, SAINT JHN, Gwen Stafani, Jimi Hendrix, Post Malone, Don Toliver, Frank Sintara, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, James Taylor, Amy Winehouse, DOJA CAT, Bob Dylan

“No Hesitation” jusr released about 2 weeks ago and my next single “On My Sleeve” will be releasing in January

What I’m hoping to get out of my career in the music industry is that I just want to be heard. And I also just want it all. The skys the limit baby, isn’t it? Why build ceilings. I am included in all the writing of my songs. I write most of my own songs but I do like to collaborate with other writers.
