Biography:
Da King Of Da QC, Roulette , is an artist born and raised on the Westside of Charlotte, NC on Beatties Ford Road. He is a multi-talented artist who is an actor, author, comedian, entrepreneur, inventor, model, motivational speaker, poet, rapper, and songwriter. He is the founder and owner of LAG Life’s A Gamble Clothing, a clothing line that fits life everyday gambles. Roulette is also the owner and operator of Target Lock Shooting, which is his gun range where he teaches concealed carry classes. He wants to grow his community involvement and contributions in a big way especially on Beatties Ford because he believes in giving back to the community that raised him and made him.
Roulette is heavily involved in the community being a Special Olympics Mecklenburg County coach in basketball, football, soccer, and Track & Field. He also speaks to the youth in many schools in the Greater Charlotte area as well as being a member of the Marine Corps League Detachment 1242.
Roulette’s music speaks to the soul of people; particularly men that are in the struggle and trying to be better. He does this by simply telling his story. Roulette’s music references the Bible as he is strong in his faith, his family, and the legacy he wants to leave behind. His first album Sounds Of Da Ford is a tribute to his side of town. Since the release of his first album, Roulette has created multiple albums and dropped single releases including one of his most popular singles entitled “N My Bag” His latest singles “Dey Say” and “Keep It 2” are trending on the the radio and as well as popular social media platforms. Roulette currently has music on Radio in many US cities like Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, New York, Texas, Los Angeles, and other countries Canada. In 2021, Roulette won the Queen City awards for New Artist of the Year as well as Collab of the Year with Syren Water for the TrainingDay Awards. Roulette has been doing music for less than two years and continues to improve his skills by seeking the advice of wise counsel, paying attention to the industry, and staying true to himself and his art. By creating his own label LAG Life’s A Gamble Entertainment which just released is 5th album Soul Of Da King.
Roulette has a staring roles in the tv series “Hopeless Romantic” as James. He is also working on multiple projects in the community to help kids get a positive outlet for different types of stressors that our youth face today, through the arts.
One of Roulette’s famous lines is; “I’m just a God fearing man that loves his family and pays his taxes.” He believes that no matter what you do in the music industry as well as in life you have to put God first and do it with an honest heart and mind otherwise you won’t be successful. His music is deeply inspired by his life and experiences whether it be dark times dealing with law-enforcement, family, or the streets. He is honest and wants people to travel with him on his life journey through his music. Roulette continues to work to uplift people by connecting with them through his music and the message within it.
