Biography:
The debut album "Something For You" which will be released in Spring 2023, shows the musician Sascha Knell from a new side and lets the listener empathize and dream. English lyrics collide with captivating melodies and catchy harmonies - raw, authentic, bittersweet, passionate and above all deeply touching. He sings about terrible moments, of pain, of the change of time time, the past, the future and of course of love and deepest longing. The new sound develops into an combination of blues, rock and pop. Knell creates a powerful as well as fragile mood and leaves one or the other catchy song.
The singer, guitarist and songwriter Sascha Knell started giving concerts with his band “The Running Aztecs” in 2016. After playing several shows, he and the band became known amongst blues and rock fans for their energetic and authentic live performances. In 2018, Sascha Knell decided to start a new project under his own name which would allow him to strike out in new directions. He surrounds himself musically with Philipp Lüdi (keys), who is known for his work with Johnny Fontane and the Rivals, with Sahin Dogan (drums) and Samuel Bobst (bass), who are both former members of “The Running Aztecs”.
