Biography:
I graduated from the university of Michigan with a degree in English/Lingustics. My first EP was music inspired by the poet Emily Dickinson. My music itself isn’t very experimental—but the way I attempt to create and distribute music, I believe, is very unique and innovative and a lot of my ideas for the mediums through which I present an EP/Album are innovative. I try to do things no one has done before—such as the crossmodal perception EP and various other ideas that are forth coming.
Career Goals | Objectives:
As of write now, I am working on an EP that has to do with crossmodal perception of sound and smell. Essentially, because of a part of the brain called the olfactory tube that receives information from both smell and sound—certain sounds and smells can enhance/dehance each other. There are up and coming companies/devices that transmit digital smells. I am looking to get in contact with one of these companies and collaborate on the first ever EP compatible with digitized smell that can be downloaded on their platform transmitted through the extra purchase of their devices.
Music Education | Training | Qualifications:
No formal music education. Self taught.
Musical Instruments | Studio Equipment:
I work with a friend/producer—he uses Logic and we utilize a lot of MIDI as well as a 52 Goldtop Les Paul and Epiphone semi-hollowbody electric. Acoustically I use a Taylor and Martin.
Influences | Sounds Like:
My biggest influences are Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Fiona Apple, Foo Fighters, Panic and the Disco, Rebecca Sugar, Bruno Mars, Regina Spektor. My music has been compared to Daughtry. The latest stuff I’m in process of recording is very Mo-Town-esq.
