Biography:
My name is Gilbert Carrasco. I was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Allentown, PA when I was 9 years old. I've loved music since a kid but up until my senior year in college I was stuck in between what I felt like I should be doing and what I really wanted to do. I went to Lehigh University in Bethlehem for computer science and have always been a straight A student but I realized that my real calling was music. In my senior year, I received a refund check (due to scholarships) worth $10,000. I used it all to build a studio in the attic of my moms house, where I lived. After that... it just got harder and harder for me to wake up for class in the morning. When I finally dropped out it was insanely difficult to get my family to see my vision and why I had much such a rash decision. Months later, here I am.. still trying to get them to recognize the creativity residing in their own family. I honestly feel like all I need is a platform to be able to share my music, everything else I can make happen myself.
